The smoothest and sweetest of our white grape jams. Creamy and mellow, with subtle traces of large sugar crystals –formed naturally inside the jar by the grape’s own sugar– that never cease to surprise. A complete jam: rustic yet refined, perfect to pair with simple, harmonious dishes.

Tasting note
Appearance – Creamy and unctuous, with earthy tones brushed by coppery reds and a hint of ochre.

Nose – Refreshing and fruity, with delicate notes of wild aromatic herbs. Scents of mimosa, honey and soft caramel drift up.

Palate – Gentle on entry, with a silken texture and enveloping sweetness. Subtle, large, crunchy sugar crystals emerge and linger on the palate — a result of the grape’s own natural sugars crystallising inside the jar. Evokes peach, raw plum and stewed apple.

Finish – Long and suggestive, becoming slightly rustic at the end.

Sobre la uva Macabeo

El macabeo es una variedad de uva blanca que, etimológicamente, recibe este nombre porque proviene de los personajes bíblicos de la tribu de los hermanos macabeos, por la asociación del tiempo de maduración de la uva con el santoral, aunque la relación no es del todo clara.

Es una cepa de brotación lenta que resiste las heladas y las sequías, pero es sensible a las enfermedades. El racimo es compacto, grande y de forma piramidal. El grano es mediano, esférico, de piel fina y pulpa carnosa. De color blanco, se vuelve dorado cuando madura y le da el sol. Es extraordinariamente dulce y aromático.
