Tasting note
Appearance – Dense and honeyed, with earthy clay tones reminiscent of forest soil, accented by reddish and violet hues.

Nose – Intense yet refined, marked by toasted, woody and kernel aromas. Subtle citrusy hints of red fruits, cherry and strawberry, with delicate touches of dairy and chocolate.

Palate – Gentle and full-bodied entry. Slightly granular texture that perfectly balances sweetness and acidity. Small, fine sugar crystals –born from the grape itself– sparkle through the jam after production. Notes of roasted grain, brisa (fermented grape skins), must and chocolate emerge.

Finish – Vibrant and characterful, with a fleeting yet lingering presence.

Sobre la uva Merlot

El merlot es una variedad de uva negra de origen occitano (probablemente, diminutivo de «merla»). El nombre proviene del diminutivo francés, seguramente por la similitud con el plumaje negro de ese pájaro.

Es una variedad productiva y de brotación temprana. El racimo es cilíndrico, pequeño y poco denso. Su grano es menudo, rico en taninos, de piel gruesa, pulpa dulce y carnosa.
Posee una finura y una suavidad características, además de ser aromático y corpulento. Su color es negro azulado en el racimo y adquiere un tono rubí muy intenso cuando se procesa.
